Objectives
NHTSA defines DUI detection as “the entire process of identifying and gathering evidence to determine if a suspect should be arrested for a DUI violation.” This session is intended to familiarize attendees with that process so that they will be able to:
  1. Identify the three phases of DUI detection officers implement in the field
  2. Understand how all three phases are used to make an arrest decision
  3. Use this knowledge at suppression hearings and trail
